Marine Lab

Shannon started her TIP career at the infamous Marine lab. Not much is known of her time at Marine Lab due to the fact that the person writing this did not attend.

Luckily another tipster volunteered to give the account:

Shannon's time at the Marine Lab is notable because she learned the sport of Ultimate. Previously she had neither knowledge nor skill. While traversing the famous mud flats she was received an oyster cut on her ankle that almost sidelined her frisbee career but luckily she had a full recovery. Her favorite memory is that of the numerous field trips her class took to the surrounding islands where she broke her first TiP rule. While their teacher was down the beach Shannon and several classmates swam out past their heads, a clear violation*. Nobody was punished.

• Duke TiP prohibits swimming at the Marine Lab. Tipsters are allowed to wade in knee deep water. It has been speculated that a Tipster almost died after an accidental drowning. Another rumor claims that previous fourth-years went swimming off the dock the last night of camp. Neither have been confirmed.

Duke West

The next year she wised up and attended the much better campus of Duke West. She enjoyed genetics greatly much to the chagrin of her boyfriend who thinks it was because her teacher happened to be very good looking.

RelationTIP

The aforementioned boyfriend is none other than Ty Aderhold as they had a relationTIP in 2008. This was not the normal relationTIP as Shannon was a third year and Ty was just a mere second year. The distance between Kentucky and Georgia however led to an end of the relationship, though if they lived closer who knows what would have happened.

Frisbee Skill

Shannon is quite possibly one of the best female frisbee players to ever attend TIP West and was part of the winning student team in the Annual Student Ultimate Tournament. She also was a key player as this team went on to beat the Staff for the first time in three years.

Fourth Year?

Shannon did not return to TIP for her fourth year. The reason why is unknown though it disappointed many a TIPster.
