Third Person
From the unofficial Duke TIP Wiki
[edit] Speaking in the Third Person
It tends to annoy people. RCs are people. At Davidson II 2005, multiple people were sent to bed early (A laughable punishment), for talking in the third person. Kevin Kimball (see User:kkimball) started it at this session.
PILFers '05 may remember the hilarity that accompanies this subject: "You haven't seen the best of Hector! You haven't seen what Hector has to offer!"
[edit] How to speak in the third person
Before each sentence, say "(Your Name) Says..." If you forget, include "...Says (Your Name)" at the end of the sentence. One may substitute thinks, argues, etc, for says.
Edit By Justin/Lindsay: Talking in third person omniscient is much more entertaining, as it involves also speaking and/or showing the opinions of all of those around you in third person as well. Warning: TIPsters engaging in this activity run a strong risk of being told to shut up.
