Summerfest
Summerfest is Davidson's version of Quadfest. Since all the TIPsters live in one dorm (often Belk Residence Hall), it is harder to develop the sense of competition (except for the 2004 year, where they were split into four dorms). However, in 2011, TIPsters lived in Cannon and Sentelle dorms,and random RCs were assigned different colors. Teams are organized by combining RC Groups into 4 colors (red, blue, green, and grey) (Four colors started only in the 2005 year, before there were only three: Blue, Red, and Green). In 2011, red, yellow, blue, and green were the official colors of Summerfest. The staff at Davidson also prepare water balloons which are unloaded, along with water guns, on TIPsters or other staff during the afternoon.
Whatever color wins overall in the different events also wins gloating rights over the other colors, usually just for the rest of the day.
