Peter Cornick
Peter Cornick is one of the greatest Tipsters in history. He was the recipient of The Pimp Robe in 2007 to later wear the robe for the term of 2008. During his time at Davidson and Duke East, Peter became a TIP legend for his embodiment of TIP spirit. Peter's legendary status arises from his undeniable pimpness, leadership and friendship to shy underclassmen. In addition, Peter may be the greatest ultimate player in recent TIP history. He was well known for stirring up controversy and excitement, while having the utmost respect for the rules set forth in the TIP handbook. Peter is best described by the phrase, "All girls want him, all Tipsters want to be him."
Peter has often drawn comparisons to the most prolific of Tipsters. He has the leadership of Sam Prevatt. The ultimate skills of Daag Alemayehu. The epicness (not the evil) of Mark Marvelli. In fact, some say that Peter was a TIP Baby because of his strong passion for TIP. This is not the case. There are many legends as to the birth of Peter Cornick. The most plausible theory is that he was not born in a conventional method. According to TIP lore, Peter Cornick made his debut on earth during a 1998 ultimate game. The three members of the Trinity happened to collide while diving for the frisbee. The collision of the three men led to a giant explosion on Giles Quad. When the smoke and dust cleared, Peter Cornick stood at the center of the quad, wearing nothing but the Pimp Robe and a shoelace around his neck.
During his time as a Tipster, Peter was known to hang out with the most beautiful of TIP girls, while taking the time to become friends with everybody and dominating ultimate frisbee. He was however in a relationtip his fourth year with the one and only Anna Adams. According to TIP lore, Peter has the ability to be up to four places at one time. At any point in time, Peter would be playing Ultimate on Giles Quad, napping in his room in Bassett, having a heart-to-heart bro talk with a third year on the Pegram bench and flirting with a hottie on the Circle Quad. All at the same time.
Currently, Peter can be found being a boss in and around Atlanta, Georgia. He has dedicated his amazing frisbee skills to the Paideia School. The TIP world eagerly awaits his return as an RC, because he will undoubtedly be one of the greatest.
Peter truly embodies the TIP spirit through his enthusiasm and charisma. On his last night as a Tipster, Peter passed the Pimp Robe down to Tucker Owen and the Peter Cornick era came to an end. Peter's legacy will be carried on forever.
Update from May, 2010 - Peter Cornick has been accepted into Harvard and will enroll in the fall.
