Mudflats

The mudflats are found a short drive away from the Marine Lab and consist of a large pond surrounded by mud with a lot of tall grass. Many Marine Lab classes take field trips to the mudflats. Ironically, they have more water than the research pond. Many TIPsters have fallen prey to the oyster beds in the mudflats, with these encounters usually resulting in stitches and a trip to the emergencey room.
