As a 2nd year
Max attended Davidson Term II, where he was in Lesley's RC Group of TiP Inappropriates (How big? This big!) and was enlightened to the joys of Geometry by Ms. Allyson Hallman. It was Max who popularized the phrase, "Don't be fooled" that term while explaining a Geometry problem to his peers. He and his roommate Ricky Garza still keep in touch and are the best of friends.
As a 3rd year
In the , Max spewed out a dazzling improvisational rendition of Heart and Soul on the piano, with RC Jordan playing the bass clef part, and was idolized for his last few hours on campus. He was a central part of Xiao's Fantastic RAG, and was an often absent honorary member of Julia's RAG. While engaged in a nighttime rap battle against select members of Jordan's RAG, Max made his debut as one of the greatest freestyle rappers to ever make his mark on Tip.
