Books on Ninth is the used bookshop of the two bookstores on Ninth Street, filled with tottering piles of books, the occasional stool on which to sit or stand, and the smell of old books. It has an excellent selection of science fiction and fantasy, as well as being, like all used bookstores, cheap. This makes it, arguably, a better jumping-off point than its new counterpart, The Regulator Bookstore.
They also enjoy it very much when you ring the bell and suggest that you should check out the self-help section if you are unable to do so.
