Coursework

We read and discussed:

  • The last few chapters of the Book of Daniel
  • "The French Revolution", book 1, by William Blake
  • Benjamin's (pronounced Bee-ha-meen) "Theses on the Philosophy of History"
  • "Fire and Ice", by Robert Frost
  • "The Second Coming", by William Butler Yates
  • "Waiting For the Barbarians", by a Greek poet
  • "The Hollow Men", by T. S. Eliot

Then we read King Lear. This had a major project attached to it. We would create a film pitch for an adaptation of the play.
