¿Por Qué? Plank

A red paint splattered section of 2x4 with ¿Por Qué? (which means "why" and/or "because" in Spanish) written on it in sharpie, passed down to Emma Joslyn during Duke East Term I 2008. The ¿Por Qué? Plank orginally came from Walker Smith and Jordan Sanchez- Vesga, at Duke East, term 1, in 2007. A connection with the Philosophy class that year is rumored. It symbolizes the most innate qualities of TIPsters, namely:
- questioning the world around them
- a perpetual state of confusion
- awkwardness
- insignificance and/or meaningless in the eyes of non-TIPsters
